BASES is extremely sad to learn of the passing of Prof Louis Passfield FBASES. Colleagues will remember Louis as a lovely individual who made a significant contribution to sport and exercise sciences, not only in research, but as an applied scientist, mentor and all-round font of knowledge.
Louis was made a Fellow of BASES in 2016 and recently served on the Appointments and Remuneration Committee and the Journal of Sports Sciences Editorial Board. He will be greatly missed by the sport and exercise sciences community. BASES extends condolences to his friends and family.
