Driving the Mental and Physical Health of Girls and Women in Sport through Leadership and Participation
Interested to implement workplace practices to drive the mental and physical health of girls and women at community through to professional sport? The focus of this half day forum is to present research outcomes on good practices to enhance leadership and participation for girls and women in sport and workshop how these good practices can be implemented into your workplace. Four research topics will be presented and workshopped:
1. Build capacity to encourage women from culturally diverse backgrounds as leaders in sport
2. A cross-sector approach to encourage women as leaders in male-dominated sectors
3. Participation and retention in sport for girls and women
4. Mental health and wellbeing of women as semi and professional players
Participants will take away new learnings and resources to assist implement practices to improve attraction and retention of women as leaders, grow participation of girls and women, and maximise the wellbeing of women athletes in their sport.
