ASES and UKAD Webinar – What’s Your Role in Keeping Sport Clean?

Online
Tuesday, 25 June 2024 12:00 - 13:30 BST

In response to feedback from athlete support practitioners (ASP) and following a successful session at the BASES Annual Conference 2023, this webinar will make sense of how the World Anti-Doping Code impacts upon BASES practitioners as part of the global drive for integrity in sport.

Through scenario-based learning, remaining specific to ASP from across the Sport & Exercise Science field, the session will create a dilemma for the delegates. Using an interactive model of delivery, delegates will ‘vote’ on their preferred course of action and cumulative voting results will be shared through subsequent discussion, facilitated by the UKAD-accredited presenters.

Delegates will be invited to share the reasoning behind their ‘vote’ with the opportunity for all to contribute and debate as appropriate. This facilitated discussion allows for a real-time reflection period during the session, which ultimately encourages positive behaviour change around clean sport.

This 90-minute session will provide a forum to share experiences, hear best practice and discuss how to overcome challenges with specific focus around the role and responsibilities of ASP to uphold clean sport.
